CONTENT S INTRODUC TION Linear’ s AK-3 is a digital keyless entry system designed for access control applications. The k eypad is housed in a rugged, plastic enclosure and is designed to be mounted in a standard single-gang electrical box. The die-cast ke ys have bright, easy-to-read yello w graphics.

2 INS T ALL A TION Bef ore installing the keypad, the unit m ust be par tially disassembled to access the mounting plate. Opening the Ke ypad The ke ypad assembly is secured with two scre ws that are hidden behind the ke ypad’ s nameplate. Refer to Figure 3 f or disassembly details.

5 Program all normal entr y codes to use the Main Rela y (Relay #1), and only Rela y #1 as the output relay . Program the code(s) that you w ant to use to hold the output for an indefi nite per iod to the A uxiliar y Relay (Rela y #2).
