CONTENT S INTRODUC TION Linear’ s AK-21W is a digital keyless entry system designed for access control applications. The keypad is housed in a rugged, die-cast metal enclosure and is designed to be mounted in a single-gang electrical box. The die-cast ke ys have bright, easy-to-read yellow gr aphics.

3 Ke ypad Wiring See Figure 7 f or an example of a basic door installation. The ke ypad is mounted adjacent to the door . An electric door str ike is mounted in the door jamb to release the door lock. A magnetic s witch is mounted on the top of the door jamb for detecting when the door is open.

5 PROGRAMMING OPTIONS There are se veral AK-21W progr amming options. F or most installations, the f actor y set default options are suffi cient. The ke ypad must be in Programming Mode to mak e these changes.
