3 INST ALLA TION SQU ARE W A VE TIG 175 PRO 3 b) A 3/4” (19mm) galvaniz ed pipe or a 5/8” (16mm) solid galv anized iron, steel or copper rod driven at least eight f eet into the ground. The ground should be securely made and the ground- ing cable should be as short as possible using cable of the same size as the w ork cable, or larger .
4 INST ALLA TION SQU ARE W A VE TIG 175 PRO 4 Electrode/Gas Output Receptacle on the front of the welder and turn it clockwise until it is tight. This is a quick connect terminal and also provides the gas con- nection f or the shielding gas to the torch.

6 OPERA TION 6 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The SQU ARE W A VE TIG 175 PROPR Ois a constant current, single range A C/DC TIG (GT A W) arc welding power source with b uilt-in arc star ter / stabilizer .
7 OPERA TION 7 1. PO WER SWITCH & LIGHT - T ur ns pow er on or off to the welder . When switched “ON”, the cool- ing f an runs and the light will illuminate indicating that the pow er is on. 2. TIG/STICK SWITCH - Selects the mode of output, either TIG (GT A W) or Stick (SMA W).
8 OPERA TION 8 6. REMO TE CONTR OL CONNECT OR - This connector provides connection f or a remote control. See Remote Control Operation in this section of the manual.
9 OPERA TION 9 PROPR Ooptimizes cleaning and heating of the w ork. The result is the capability to weld through the complete r ange of 12 to 175 amperes in A C TIG or DC- TIG requiring only one electrode, a 3/32” 2% thor iated tungsten. WELDING IN STICK MODE 1.
