English 3 1 Using Y our Apple Wireless Ke yboard Y our keyboard comes with tw o AA alkaline batteries installed and uses Bluetooth® technology t o connect to your Mac. This guide shows you how t o set up your keyboard, cust omize and use the keys, and change the batteries.
4 English If you don ’t pair your keyboard with your Mac within 3 minutes , the indicator light and keyboard turn off to preserve battery life. Push and release the On/off ( ® ) switch to turn your keyboard on again, allowing you to pair it with y our Mac (see page 5).
English 5 Setting up a New Wireless Keyboard and a New Mac Follo w the instructions in the user guide that came with your Mac to set it up. Because you hav e a wireless keyboard , skip the instructions to connect a USB k eyboard.
6 English P airing your Keyboard with a Diff erent Mac After you set up your Apple Wir eless Keyboard with a Mac, you can set it up again with a different Mac. I f the other Mac is more than 3 3 feet (1 0 meters) awa y , follow the instructions on page 5 to pair it.
English 7 Using the Key s Use the keys at the top of your keyboard to adjust the brightness of your dis play , open Exposé, view Dashboard widgets, con trol the volume, and more. Decrease ( ) or increase ( ) the brightness of your display . Use Exposé to see all of the open windows on your deskt op at once.
8 English Renaming Y our Keyboard Y our Mac a utomatically gives your wirele ss keyboard a unique name the first time you pair it. Y ou can rename your keyboard in Bluetooth preference s. T o r ename your keyboard: 1 Choose Apple ( ) > System P reference s and click Bluetooth.
