SM 60 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 3 UNPA CKING Follow the steps below when unpacking the c om ponents of the SM60. 1. Cut off the shipping wrapper. 2. Remove th e parts boxes an d shippin g boards. 3. Remove th e items in the part s boxes. T hese item s ar e shown in Figure 1.

Bolt on the connecting bea m ( part 3 fr om Figure 2) using a 5/8” sock et with extension and com bination wrenc h, to the cubes using two of the large 7/16” x 6” bolts, 7/16” washers , and 7/16” nuts, end cap washer s and end caps.

T o do this: A. Using a 9/16” soc ket and c om bination wrench, rem ove the tric ep back rest bolts (see Figure 9) .
SM 60 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 9 C. Prepare the w eight stack. Slide the guide rods ( 2) through the weight stack s (1) as shown below. Place rubber bum pers (3) on the bottom s of each guide rod. Make s ure the pull pin (4) is in the bottom weight plate.
SM60 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 10 6. Bolt the f loating pu lleys into the 190 lb w eight stacks used f or the cros sovers using a 7/8” com bination wrenc h. You will need to remove the pulley from the housing to thread the plug into the weight stack bayonet.

SM60 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 12 INSTA LLING THE CABLES The SM60 us es six c ables. T here are two diff erent types of cable used on the SM60. T hey are: 1. Crossover cables ( ball end cables) ( 2). 2. Lat pulldown and tricep cables ( 4).
SM 60 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 13 CROSSOVER CABLE RO UTI NG Once you’ve removed the pulleys as desc ribed previously, route the two crossover cables as shown in Figure 16. Figure 16. Cr os sov er cable routing. Bolt the cable to the weight stack s as s hown in Figure 17.
