SM 50 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 3 UNPA CKING Follow the steps below when unpacking the c om ponents of the SM50. 1. Cut off the shipping wrapper. 2. Remove the parts box a nd shipping boards. 3. Remove the it ems in the part s box. T hese item s are s hown in Figure 1.

SM 50 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 5 Figure 3. Set t he weig ht stack cells. 2. Bolt on the teardr op pulle ys above the benches ( see Figure 4) on the 4 s tack cell using two 3/8” x 2-3/4” hex head bolts. Include the 3/8” f lat washer, end cap washers , end caps and 3/8” Nyloc nut.

Using the bolts specif ied in Figure 12 and a 9/16” soc ket and c om bination wrenches, m ount the benches as shown in Figures 13 and 14. 3/8 x 3” (2) 3/8 x 2-3/4 ” (8) Use a pi nch ba r to a lign the seat fram e hol es to the cube s Figure 13.

SM50 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 12 INSTA LLING THE CABLES The SM50 us es five cables . Ther e are three dif ferent types of cable us ed on the SM50. They are: 1. Crossover cables ( ball end cables) ( 2). 2. Low row cable (the long cables) (1).
SM 50 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 13 CROSSOVER CABLE RO UTI NG Once you’ve removed the pulleys as desc ribed previously, route the cros sover cables on the 4-stack c ell as shown in Figure 16. T he cros sover c able is routed at the f actory on the 1-stack cube.

SM 50 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 15 Bolt the cable to the weight stack s as s hown in Figure 18. Thr ead the 7/8” nut up on the cable bolt as shown at lef t. Screw the bolt down into the weight stack as shown at right. Tighten the bolt with a 7/8” com bination wrench.
SM50 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 16 TRICEP PUSHDOW N CABLE RO UTI NG Route the tricep pushdown cable as shown in Figure 20. Screw the cable into the weight stac k as shown previously in Figure 18.
