2 When connecting the rack equipmen t to the Liebert MP Advanced Po wer Strip’s receptacles, arrange cables and conne ctions to avoid tangli ng and crisscrossing the power cables. For power management purposes, record the receptac le where each piece of equipment is conne cted.
3 A SSIGN AN IP A DDRESS If your network uses static IP addresses and your computer has a Wind ows op erating system, follow the steps below. Otherwise, consult the OpenComms EM user man ual (SL-28210). 1. Obtain an IP address f or the OpenCo mms EM from your network administrator.
4 C ONFIGURATION WITH L IEBERT MP A DVANCED A CCESS S ERV ER M AKE C ONNECTIONS 1. Connect power to the Liebert MP Advanced Access Serv er and turn the unit On (the On/Off switch i s on the rear of the unit; some units do not have th is sw itch; they are energi zed whenever their power cord is plugged into a power source).
5 S ET THE IP A DDRESS 1. Select “1” to set the IP Addre ss for Mo dule 1. Enter an IP addr ess (below). The address must be unique on your system (obtain this from your network admin istrator). 2. Press Enter to return to the Network Port Configuration menu.
