General De scripti on The Liebert Micro SmartSwitch (MSS) is a single Phase Dual Input rack mount- able Power Distribution Unit (PDU) with a built in Automatic Transfer Switch. When Input A falls below 168 V AC and Input B is valid, the output is automati- cally tran sferred t o Inpu t B.

Inst allation Place rear rail [R] ov er the studs in the f ront rail [F]. T ighten nuts finger tight. The mounting tab [T] will be facing out, so the holes align with the rack sides. Adjust length of rail assembly to fit inside rack. Tigh ten either the wing nuts or hex n uts .
Ground Bond ing Scre w A grou nd bond- ing screw is pr o- vided on the rear of the unit. This feature is pro- vided as a n attachment point for condu ctors the rack may contain for the purpos e of func- tion al ground ing or bon di ng of ungroun ded metal parts.
