1 I NTRODUCTION Congratulations on your choice of the Liebert Universal Serial Bus Adapter Card (P/N#: USBCARD). The USB card works with Window s-based PC operating systems. By using the built-in Wind ows Power Management software on Win- dows™ 2000/XP platforms, th e user can monitor the UPS via the USB card.
2 I NST ALLATION Parts required • Intellislot USB Card •U S B c a b l e Tools required • Either #2 (med ium) Phillips or small flat h ead screw driver. 1. It is not necessary to turn the UPS off prior to instal- lation. Locate the Intellis- lot Port on the r ear panel of your UPS.
3 C ONFIGURATION Connect USB Cable Connect the Intellislot USB card to an available USB port on the com- puter using the in cluded USB cable. Configure Power Management for Automated Shut down 1. Open the Power Options Proper ties window by clicking on St art , then Settings , Control Panel and, finally, Power Options .
