Different computer components consume power at different rates.

33 Chapter 3. Troubleshooti ng My screen goes blank while the computer is on. Your screen saver or power management ma y be enabled. Do one of the follow ing to exit from the screen saver or to re sume from sleep or hibernation mode: Touch the touch pad.

If the computer still does not respond, rem ove the AC adapter and the battery. Your computer might lock when it en ters sleep mode during a communication operation.
