Explanation of Har d Disk Capacity Dear user, While using your compu ter, you may discover th at the nominal hard disk capacity indicated is som ewhat different from the disk c apacity displayed by the oper ating system. For example, a nominal 40GB hard disk will appe ar as less than 40 GB in the opera ting system.
If a portion of the hard disk space has been used for some specific purpose, then the capacity indicated by the operating system will be even less than X × 0.
