Safety and Maintenance Guidelines Important Safety Information The pow er cord is designed for use with y our monitor . T o use a different cord, use only a pow er sour ce and connection compatible with this monitor. WAR NI NG : Always connect your monitor , th e computer , and other equipment to a grounded (earthed) pow er outlet.

User controls Your monitor has controls on the front which are used to adjust the disp lay. For information on how to use these contro ls, please see “Adjusting your monitor image ” on page 2-3.
Setting up your monitor This section provides information to help you set up your monitor. Connecting and turning on your monitor Note: Be sure to read the Safety Inform ation located in the Monitor Safety, Troubleshooting, and Warranty Guide before carrying out this procedure.
Chapt er 1. Get ting sta rted 1-5 3. Connect the digital signal cable to the vi deo port on the back of the computer. 4. Place the cables into the cable cover. Connect one end of the DP cable to the DP connector on the back of the computer , and the other end to the DP connector on the monitor .

This is not required if you are using the DVI or DP cable. Note : If automatic image setup does not esta blish the image that you prefer, perform manual image setup.
