Page 8 STEP 2 -- REFRIGERANT PIPING -- Installing Indoor Expansion V alve This outdoor unit is designed for use in systems that use either an fixed orifice (RFC) (included with outdoor unit), or expansion valve metering device (purchased separately) at the indoor coil.
Page 9 13ACX SERIES STEP 3 -- LEAK TEST AND EV ACUA TION A With both manifold valves closed, connect the cylinder of HFC-410A refrigerant to the center port of the manifold gauge set. Open the valve on the HFC-410A cylinder (vapor only). B Open the high pressure side of the manifold to allow HFC-410A into the line set and indoor unit.

B Evacuate the line set and indoor unit to an absolute pressure of 23,000 microns (29.01 inches of mercury). NOTE — During the early stages of evacuation, it is desirable to close the manifold gauge valve at least once.

Charge should be checked and adjusted using the tables provided on the charging procedure sticker located o n th e unit access panel.
