These heaters meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’ s emissions limits for wood heaters sold on or after July 1, 1990.
4 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. D rafting Y our wood stove is dependent upon a properly functioning chimney for optimum per formance. It is a high efficiency appliance that loses much less heat up the chimney than older appliances and fireplaces.
5 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. Please be patient with the heat output of your stove for the first few weeks. The steel will go thr ough a curin g proces s that eliminates moisture, which is deep in the steel and firebrick. This moisture will reduce initial heat output of your stove and may make it difficult to start.

12 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. s t arting anD m aint aining a f ire Be sure to clean the Nickel or Gold Plated door with Windex brand cleaner and a very soft cloth to remove any fingerprints and residues prior to the first fire.
13 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. Keeping freshly loaded wood away from the window will also help. Load fresh logs in the rear of the firebox. Build up tends to occur first on the right side of the window. This is caused by the swirling motion of the exhaust gases similar to water running down a drain.

Oversized chimneys normally have poor drafts. Remember , the stoves’ draft depend solely on the natural draft of the chimney (See Drafting section on page 4).
