- 1 - Introduction Congratulations on purcha sing APC’ s C3 Power Filte r , shown in Figure 1. The power filter come s in two models. The C3 is silver and the C3BLK is black. However , the C3 and C3BLK ha ve the same performance, features and functionality .

- 3 - Features The following paragraphs describe the Model C3 Power Filter’ s major features. Surge Protection The C3 Power Filter provides a high leve l of surge protection for the voltage going into the unit, and thus protect s the devices connected to the unit.
- 4 - T op Panel The following section descr ibes the controls and indi cators on the top panel. T op Panel Controls and Indicators The top panel controls and indicators for the C3 Po wer Filter are detailed in Figure 2. Each numbered callout re fers to a corresponding numbered description found immediately below the picture.

- 7 - Surge Pr otected T elephone Jacks The C3 provides a teleph one circui t with surge protection to protect components connected via teleph one line. Connect the supplied RJ1 1 telephone cable fro m the wall jack (source) to the telephone line connect or marked IN .

Apply power Make Connections Prior to connecting equipment to the C3 Power Filter , ensure the unit is functioning by connecting th e AC Power Cord (provided) on the side p anel, shown as , in Figure 4.
