After switching off the device or replacing th e batteries the settings are stored. Navigation in the menu The menu allows settings to be made at the user level.
8 Opera tion Leica DIST O™ D3 760498a en EN F E P Continuous laser ( ) You can switch the continuous laser function on or off. With the continuous laser fu nction set on, each press of the button triggers a mea surement. The la ser automatically swit ches off after 15 minutes.
9 Measuring Leica DIS T O™ D3 760498a en EN F E P Display / keypad illumination The instrument has a sensor that automa tically switches the display and keypad illumination on or off in response to lighting condi tions. Reference setting The default refere nce setting is from the rear of the instrument.
