1 Chapter 1 General Informati on The CTEP/G Series Enclosu res provide housing f or a po w er source for broadband cable operations. Safety This Safety Guide contains im portant instructions that s hould be follo w ed during installat ion and maintenance of the APC equipment and batteries.
2 Chapter 2 Installation Only trained serv ice personnel shoul d install and maintain t he power supply enclo sure. Prior to in stalling the power su pply enclosure, a u tility breaker box must be i nstalled on th e pole. Utility line voltage must be routed to the enclosure.
3 Unpacking Inspect the unit upon receipt. Notify the carrier if there is damage. The packaging is recyclable; save it for reuse or dispos e of it properly . Check the packag e contents. The package contains the enclosure, battery cables , connectors and associated h ardware and produ ct document ation.
4 CTEP6 Model Ground Mount Installation 1. Install an APC approv ed concrete pad. Contact y our dealer or see How to C ontact APC , in this manual for m ore information. 2. Secure the enclosure to the pad. 0 Battery Enclosure : Attach the ground skirt to the concrete pad.
5 Wiring Grounding 1. Install and in terconnect ground rods appro priate for proper g rounding according to local electrical code requirem ents. 2. 6 Options The CTEP/G6-120GI has an optional External AC Generator In terface. For available options s ee your dealer or the A PC web site, www.apc.com /support . Connecting the Bat teries The battery circuit break er must OFF prior to battery installation.
