Page 2 INTRODU CTION The DW A-S is a single c ircuit signa ling device which can b e used as a be ll ringer or o n/off controller. It is c apable of retaining up to 1440 sep arate e vents for each day of the week in mem ory plus a float ing lunch a nd break schedule which can be activated with a singl e ke y on the keypad or a r emote sw itch.

Step 3 – Con nect Wires f or 115V AC or 24V AC Bells IMPO RTANT! This unit is shipped f rom the fa ctory as a Bell Ringer.

Page 7 Step 9 – T est Signaling 1. Your displa y should ap pear as s hown in the pictur e bel ow. If not, please c ontact your d ealer or Lathem Time directly. 2. Enter a secur ity code us ing the da y of week k eys (remem ber the days that you selected) .
Page 8 DIP SWITCH SE TTINGS To acc ess the dip switches , rem ove the two scr ews holding t he left side panel in place and rem ove the panel. Dip S witches 1, 2, and 3 ar e monitored at all tim es and changes take eff ect immediatel y. Dip Switch 4 is read onl y at power up.
Page 9 PROGR A MM IN G A SEC URITY CODE Upon power up you are allowed to en ter a secur ity code to restrict acc ess to program m ing functions. W hen the unit displays “ SECURITY CODE ”, press from one to four Da y of the W eek keys. This is your securit y code.
Page 10 UNLOCKI NG THE KEYP AD To unlock the ke ypad, press the Da y of the W eek keys you programm ed for the security code f ollowed b y RUN . The security k eys mus t be pressed in the exact ord er as the y were originall y entered. The d isplay shoul d read “ S ELECT FUNCT ION .

Page 13 M A NU A L LUNC H A ND BRE AKS (Bell Ringer ) This f unction provides a m eans of programm ing set lun ch and break lengt hs which can be initiated at various t imes during the day. It is on ly available when the u nit is used as a Bell Ringer and operatin g on AC po wer.
Page 14 SIGN A L ON/OF F Pressing the SIGN AL ON/OFF key when the k eypad is unlocked changes the O n/Off status of the progr amm ed schedule. W hen the status is O N, bells or c ontrols will operate bas ed on the schedule. W hen the stat us is OFF, the s chedu le is ignor ed and only the m anual k ey will operate t he bells or contr ols.
