1 Introduction Congratulations! Y ou ’ve made a v er y smart investment! Y our Ex ecutive T r ainer treadmill is a high-quality fitness tool that will g iv e you y ears and years of fitness benefits. One of the great things about the Executi ve T rainer is its diversity of applications.
2 Assembly Instructions • On L7 treadmills it is necessary to re move the bolts whic h hold the treadmill to the pallet. • Start by removing the top bolts. • Lay the tr eadmill on the ground, and then remov e the bottom bolts by placing the treadmill on your t oolbox.
3 Assembly Instructions • Feed the c ontact heart rate harness through the access hole in the inside of the left uprigh t (insert str ain relief provided). Feed harness up into the control panel. • Pull back the membrane and connect harness to whit e 3-pin connect or on side of display board.
4 Basic Control P anel Operations Pr ess ST ART to po wer up treadmill. All the displays will light and the treadbelt will begin moving at 0.5 mph (0.8 km/hr in metr ic mode). Pr ess P A USE to place the treadmill in pause mode. The treadbelt will stop, but all statistical information wil l be preserved.
5 F eatures The Ex ecutive T r ainer treadmill combines a v ersatile liquid cr ystal display (L CD) with a var iety of program options to achieve y our fitness goals. SELECT ABLE SCREENS At an y point dur ing your w orkout, the Executi ve T rainer allows you t o view one of its 5 motivational screens.
6 Getting Star ted Mak e sure y ou hav e read and understand this owner’ s manual. Now y ou are ready to begin. Start by stradd ling the treadbelt with one foot on each trac tion str ip . Onc e the treadbelt begins moving you can start walking on the treadbelt.
7 U pon star t up , the t readmill defaults to M anual M ode. In Manual M ode, y ou and only you can change the speed and elevation as well as view one of the 5 motivational screens. Pr ess NEXT or BA CK to rotate thr ough the selectable motivational screens.
8 Using the Numeric K eypad The Ex ecutive T r ainer is equipped with a numeric keypad, which serves multiple functions to mak e the treadmill easier to control. It can be used to change speed and elevation, enter user settings, and c onfigure programs.
9 Built-in Programs Pr ograms have been added to the Ex ecutive T rainer so you can add some variety to your w orkouts. Y ou can choose from one of 5 built-in programs, whic h will r un you thr ough a pre-se lected speed and elevation curve. When c hoosing a program you select a maximum speed, maximum elevation and a time fr om 10 to 99 minutes.
10 Running Built-in Programs Fr om the Men u screen, select PROGRAMS to view all programming options. Once y ou select the built-in program that best suits your need, you will be prompted with a Program Pr ev iew screen.
11 User Programs The Ex ecutive T r ainer has storage capacity for five U ser Programs, which you can create and c hange. The t readmill will remember these pr ograms e ven if you unplug it from the wall. The five U ser Pr ograms w ill be pre-loaded as 20-minute, 20-segment programs.
12 HRC (Hear t Rate Control) Progr ams The Ex ecutive T r ainer is equipped with both Contact Heart Rate and W ireless H eart Rate (tr ansmitter strap).
13 User HRC Programs The Ex ecutive T r ainer has storage capacity for 2 U ser HRC P rograms, w hich y ou can create and change. The t readmill will remember these pr ograms e ven if you unplug it from the wall. The 2 U ser HR C Programs will be pre-loaded as 20-minute programs.
14 Specific Goal Programs These specialty programs have been designed to monitor and ac hieve a specific goal you ma y hav e every time you get on your Ex ecutive T rainer .
Race mode is a unique feature e xclusi ve to the Landic e Executi ve T r ainer . Race is a manually controlled distance based program that monitors your pr ogress versus a virtual pacer . The v irtual pacer can be your pr ev ious/best-rec orded time or manually dialed in during set up.
16 Fitness T ests/ Protocols Overview The Ex ecutive T r ainer includes 2 fitness tests and 4 fitness prot ocols. Based on your specific age, gender , and p erformance they calculate your fitness level. The Balk e and the Firefighter Fitness T ests are hear t rate contr olled.
17 T aking a Fitness T est T o take a Fitness T est: Fr om the Men u Screen, select Programs -> Specialty Programs . In the Specialty Programs screen, you can select one of the 2 fit ness tests that the Ex ecutive T r ainer has to offer . Remember , both of these tests are heart rate cont rol le d.
18 T aking a Fitness Protocol T o take a Fitness Prot ocol: Fr om the Men u Screen, select Programs -> Specialty Programs . In the Specialt y Pr ograms screen, you can select one of the 4 fitness protoc ols that the Executi ve T r ainer has to offer .
19 Client Mode – Creating a Client Client Mode allo ws five differ ent users to personalize the treadmill settings to their liking. Once a user sets up a client, programming will automatically scale to preset r estrictions.
Client Mode - Fitness Calendar 20 Client Mode offers a fitness calendar that monitors al l client tr eadmill usage over the past four w eeks. T o v iew the Fitness Calendar: After logging on as a client, from the M enu Screen pr ess the designated “ Calendar ” key .
21 S ystem Settings Y ou can enter the system settings at any time fr om the M enu Screen by pr essing Setup . In the Setup Screen, you can toggle between Miles and Kilomet ers by pressing the designated “ U nits ”k e y . Pr ess the designated “ Sy st em ” key to view the System M enu Screen.
22 Self-Diagnostics The Ex ecutive T r ainer is equipped with onboard self-diagnostics. If the treadmill experiences any errors during operation, the treadmill will display the error message and the option to further in vestigate b y commencing the treadmill’ s self- diagnostics software.
23 Hear t Rate Monitoring The Ex ecutive T r ainer treadmill comes standar d with a w ireless heart rate monitoring dev ice and a c ontact hear t rate cross- bar (see A ccuT r ack Heart Rate Monitoring System ) to giv e you feedback on ho w your body is affected b y your w orkout.
