WWVB-RADIO CONTROLLED W ATCH The NIST (National Institute o f Standards an d Technology -Time and Frequency Division) WW VB radio s tation is located in Ft. Collins, Colorado, and tra nsmits the exact ti me signal contin uously at 60 kHz . The signal can be r eceived up to 2, 000 miles aw ay through the internal antenn a in the E H oward & Co.
2 nature of the Eart h's Ionosphere, r eception is v ery limited during daylight hours . The Watch will search for a signal every night when reception is best. The WWVB radio stati on derives its sig nal from the NIST Ato mic clock in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Normally upon purchase , the watch will already display the correct time and date, and it w ill not be necessary to use the manual settings. Hours and Minutes are shown usi ng the anal og display. Date and Seconds are shown in t he digital L CD.
Press and release t he PUSH-PIECE t o toggle between the displays: • Month and Day The Date appear s as Month and day (ex: 12.30) • Or Seconds and WWVB Signal R eception Icon 5.
6 Manual Setting TIME & DATE If the wristwatch is not able to receive the WWVB signal, you may set the time manually . IMPORTANT: If the WWVB signal is r eceived correctly, the sy mbol (tower) is shown, and setti ng the time and d ate manually is not possible.
2. Press and release t he PUSH-PIECE . The seconds will be set to zero (00). 3. Press and release t he PUSH-PIECE t o set the minutes. Hold the PUSH-PIECE c ontinuously to fast forward the minutes. 4. By pressing and rel easing the RECES SED BUTTON you ca n change the setting menu in the following order: a.

As soon as the WWVB signal can be received ag ain, the watch will automatically adjust to t he correct time. BEGIN WWVB SIGNAL SEARCH MANUALLY *If the WWVB receptio n is disturbed, you can start the WWVB signal search manually .
9 2. Place the watch on a steady sur face for bette r reception. Pr ior to WWVB receptio n (and 15 secon ds after holdi ng the PUSH- PIECE ) the hands will automatically return to the manually set time. The watch is now set to the WWVB signal r eception mode.
10 a. If the hands do no t stop at the 12:00 position, pr ess and release the RECESSED BUTTON one time. Press an d release the RECESSED BUTTON several times to advance the big hand in s mall steps until th e hands are set ex actly to the 12:00 position.
1. Press and hold the RE CESSED BUTTON for about 4 seconds . The current hour is shown at the le ft of the display . The right side displays the cur rent time z one selection. 2. Press and release t he PUSH-PIECE until you see your desi r ed time zone.
