4 I. QUICK SET-UP GUID E Hint: Use good quality alkaline batter ies and avoid rechargea ble batteries. 1. We recommend beginning the set-up procedure at night whe n the WWVB signal is easiest to receive.
5 II. DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE A. BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Remove the battery cover on the backside of the projection alarm. 2. Observe the correct polarity, and install 2 AA batteries. 3. In addition to or instead of installing batteries, the AC adapter can be used.
6 III. PROG RAM MO DE To enter the Program Mode, hold down the “MODE/MIN” button for 3 seconds, until the time zone flashes at the bottom of the display. The Program Mode Guide is laid out in a manne r that allows you to program each function separately, or you can follow the instructions entirely to progra m the projection alarm.
7 4. NOTE: The U.S. time zones will show abbr eviations as opposed to the numerical time zone indicator. For example Eastern Time will display “ET” when the Eastern Time Zone is selected 5. Press and release the “SNOOZE” bar to confirm the time zone setting and advance t o the Manual Time Setting.
8 F. 12/24-HOUR CLOCK SETTIN G 1. Hold down the “MODE/MIN” button for 3 seconds; the time zone will appear flashing at the bottom of the LCD. 2. Press and release the “SNOOZE” bar 5 times to ad vance to the 12/24-hour clock setting. 3. Press and release the “MODE/MIN” button to select either a 12-hour clock or a 24- hour clock.
9 3. When the time signal has been received successfully, the tower icon will remain steady until midnight. 4. The projection alarm will search for a si gnal every night when reception is best. 5. It is possible that your projection alarm may not be exactly on the se cond due to the variance in the quartz.
