3 ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT (not included) 1. Three fr esh AA 1.5V batter ies for the indoo r weather station. 2. Two fresh AA 1. 5V batterie s fo r th e remote tempera t ure/humidity sensor. (The remote te mpe ra ture/humidi ty sensor po wers t he wind speed senso r an d t he rainfall sensor so no batteries are required.
4 DETAILED SET- UP GUIDE BATTERY INSTALLATION The first s tep to po wering up the wea ther station is to inse rt the con nector (RJ11) at the end o f the wire a ttached to the wind speed sen sor to the rem ot e temperat u re/ humidity sensor. Please ensu re whe n do ing this that t he connector is inserted wi th the proper orient ation.

6 Note: “DST OFF” indicates that the featur e is o ff and the WWVB w ill not cha nge times automatic ally. “DST ON” indicat es t hat the feat ur e is on an d the WWVB will chan ge ti m es automaticall y. Note: Some locatio ns (Arizona and part s of Indiana ) do not follow Da ylight Sav ing Time, and sh ould select “DST OFF”.
7 Note: Reception of the WWVB signal will also set the date and day. Th e reception of the signal will override an y programmed dat e and day. 1. Press an d hold the SET bu tto n for 5 sec on ds. 2. “LCD” will show in th e TIME LCD and the number setting will flash.
8 4. Either “1”, “2” or “3” will fl ash in the TIME LCD an d the forecast icon an d tendency arrows will flash in the FO RECAST LCD . 5. Press and re lease the ALM/+ button to select th e f orecast sensitiv it y 6. Press and re lease the SET bu tton to c onfirm the foreca st sensitivity and comple te the programming.

The icon does not give an exact pred iction of the weather, howev er it should be viewe d as a generalizatio n of the expect ed weather cha nge (for example a “s unny” icon indicates the weathe r is expect ed to improve ).

11 4. The WIND SPE ED LCD will now show the max imum wind gust. 5. Press and releas e the WIND/RAIN /SNZ button. 6. The WIND SPEED LCD will now show the minimum wind chill. 7. Press and releas e the WIND/RAIN /SNZ button. 8. The WIND SPE ED LCD will now show the max imum wind chill.

14 Note: When in the 12 -hour mode and sett ing an alarm for a ti me between noo n an d mi dnight, “P M” will appear to the le ft of the alarm time in the DATE LCD.
15 II. THE REMOTE WIND SP EED SENSOR The remote wi nd speed sensor can be mounted two w ays: • With the use of screws • Using nylon straps • Using the U-s haped bo lt A. MOUNTING WITH SCREWS 1) Unlock the moun t ing bracket fr om the remote wi nd speed sensor leav ing the wire going through the bracket.
16 III. THE INDOOR WEATHE R STATION 1) Fix a screw (not included) into the de sired wall, leavi ng approximat ely 3/16 of an inch (5mm) ex tended fr om the w all. 2) Place the indoo r we at her station on to the screw using the hangi ng hole on the b acksid e.
