4 DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE I) BATTERY INSTALLATION Note: To avoid start-up problems make su re tha t the batteries do not spring free. A) MOON PHASE CLOCK 1) Remove the battery cover, located on the backside of the unit. 2) Observe the correct polarity, and install 2 AA batteries.
5 PROGRAM MODE To enter the Prog ram Mode hold down t he “ SET” button for 2 seconds, until “-5 EST” flashes in th e Date LCD. The Program Mode is laid out in a manner that allows you to program each function separately, or you can follow the instructions entirely to progra m the Moon Phase Clock.
6 III) DST (DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME) SETTING Note: The DST default is “On”, meaning that the WWVB will automa tically change the time according to Daylight Saving Time in th e spring and fall. For areas tha t do not recognize DST changes (Arizona and parts of Indiana) turn the DST “OFF”.
7 VI) CALENDAR SETTING Note: When the WWVB signal is found, that date will over-ride the manually set date. 1) Hold do wn the “ SE T” button for 2 seconds (the selected time zone will flash), press the “ SET” button 5 more times, until the default year “0 0 ” flashes in the date LCD.
8 FEATURES & OPERATIONS I) CHANGING DISPL AY MODE (DA Y, S ECONDS, AND TEMPERATURE) There a re three pos sible disp lay modes to view the day, seconds, and temperature. The month& date/weekday/moo n phase/indoor temperat ure is the default. To change t he display: 1) Press the “+” button.
9 C) ACTIVATING THE SNOOZE FUNCTION 1) While the alarm is sounding, pr ess th e “ SNOOZE” button t o activate the snooze function. The al arm “sound” ic on and “SN OOZE” icon (to the ri ght of the time) will flash. The duration of the snoo ze function is 10 minutes, then the alarm will resume.
