4 DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE I. BATTERY INSTALLATION A. REMOTE TEMPERATURE SENSOR 1. Remove the battery cove r. Place your thumb ove r the two air- vent slots o n the face of the Remote Temperature Sens or, push down gentl y, slide battery cover down and off.
5 B. WEATHER TEMPERATURE STATION 1. Remove the battery cover. Pull up an d out from the slot located in the central position of th e battery cove r. 2. Observing the correct polarity, install 2 AAA batteries. The batteries will fit tightly (to avo id start-up problems make sure th at they do not spring free during inst allation).

LOW-BATTERY & BATTERY REPLACEMENT FEATURES When the batteries becom e weak in the Weather Temperature Station, a low battery indicat or (shape d as a battery ) appears in the LCD screen between t he Hour display and th e Minute display.
7 II. TIME A. THE TIME DISPLAY The time is displayed vertically (with th e hour displaye d above the mi nutes) rather than in the conv entional horizontal format. The hour and minute displays are se parated by a flashing dot, which indicates the seconds.

10 I. INDOOR TEMPERATURE The Weather Temperature Station monitors the temperature within its immediate proximity, and displays this temperature in the INDOO R LCD. The temperature is monitored as soon as the batteries are installed. II. WEATHER FORECAST The weather forecasting feat ure is estimated to be 75% accurate.
11 There are 3 possible weat her icons that will be displayed in the FORECAST LCD: Sunny— indicates that the weather is expected to improve (not that the weather will be sunny). Sun with Clouds— indicates that the weather is expected to be fair (not that the weathe r will be sunny with cloud s).

13 III. OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE—WITH MINIMUM & MAX IMUM FEATURE The Weather Temperature Station receives the outdoor temperature from the Rem ote Temperature Sensor, a nd the temperature appears in the OUT DOOR LCD.
14 A. VIEWING THE MINIMUM/MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES 1. Press the circular MIN/ MAX button (under all LCD displays) o nce. An arrow will appear and point to the “MIN” that is printed in the right-hand margin . The minimum-recorded temperature will display in the OUDOOR LCD.
15 B. RESETTING THE MINIMUM/ MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE 1. Press and hol d the MIN/MAX button for 3 seconds. This will reset all record s to the current outdoor tem perature.

18 II. THE WEATHER STATI ON The Weather Station ca n be mounted on the wall with the use of a wall hang ing screw (not included). A. WALL MOUNTING 1. Place a screw (not i ncluded) into an appropriate wall, leaving appro ximately 3/16 of an inch (5mm ) extended from the wall.
