2 SAFETY NA TIONAL CONVENTIONS The following subsections describe notational con ventions used in this document. Notes, Cautions, and W arnings Throughout this guide, blocks of text may be accompanied b y an icon and printed in bold type or in italic type.
3 PO WER The monitor should be operated only fr om the type of pow er source indicated on the label. If you are not sur e of the type of pow er supplied to your home, consult your dealer or local pow er company . The monitor is equipped with a three-pr onged gr ounded plug, a plug with a third (grounding) pin.
4 INST ALLA TION Do not place the monitor on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table . If the monitor falls, it can injure a person and cause serious damage to this product. Use only a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufactur er or sold with this product.
5 CLEANING Clean the cabinet regularl y with cloth. Y ou can use soft-detergent to wipe out the stain, instead of strong-detergent which will cauterize the pr oduct cabinet. When cleaning, make sur e no detergent is leaked into the pr oduct. The cleaning cloth should not be too rough as it will scratch the scr een surface.
6 O THER If the product is emitting a strange smell, sound or smok e, disconnect the power plug IMMEDIA TEL Y and contact a Ser vice Center . Mak e sure that the v entilating openings are not block ed by a table or curtain. Do not engage the LCD monitor in sev ere vibration or high impact conditions during operation.
