3 Operation design Operation design As a vo ice mail su bscribe r you have your ow n personal mailbo x. It work s simil ar to an answeri ng machi ne: ca llers hear a greetin g and can leave a sp oken m essage.
4 Operation design Accessing the management functions To dia l your pers onal ma ilbox, pr oceed as follow s: 1. Dial the us er gro up numb er or D DI nu mber of you r voice mail s ystem. 2. Ensure th at yo ur tele phone is se nding DTMF di alling sign als.

7 Voice menus Options: language The AVS Voice Mail System gives you a choice of three sys tem langu ages. The firs t langua ge is the def ault lang uage. You can change th e defaul t language for your mailbo x. After d oing so , system me ssages are spok en in the n ewly select ed lan- guage.
8 Voice menus Personal greeting The voice mail system assi gns a stand ard greetin g to each mai lbox, e.g. "Yo u are connected t o mail box numb er NNN ". This m enu gives yo u the opp ortuni ty to record your p ersona l greeting . As t he mailbox owner, you can lis ten to the per- sonal g reeting, change it or de lete it at any t ime.
9 Voice menus Do not disturb In this m enu you can a ctivate or d eactivate the "Do not disturb" function. When it is activa ted , the voice m ail s ystem does not t ransf er ca lls to t he ma ilbo x subscr iber. The cal ler then receive s a specia l greetin g that offe rs other conn ection poss ibil itie s.
