Bef or e y ou star t... Proper installation is your responsibility . • Have a qualified tec hnician install the range hood. • Comply with installation clearances specified on the model/serial rating plate. Model/ser ial rating plat e is located behind the left filter on rear wall of the vent hood.

4 V ent syst em r equir ements V ented (non-r ecirculating) syst em must ter minate t o the outside. Do not ter minate the v ent system in an attic or other enclosed ar ea. Do not use 4 " (1 0.2 cm) laundry- type wall caps. Use metal vent only . Rigid metal v ent is r ecommended.
5 Installation st eps 1. If possible, disconnect and carefully move freestanding range from cabinet opening to provide easier access to upper cabinet and rear wall. P ut a thic k, protective covering over cooktop, set-in range or countertop to protect from damage or dirt .

9 Operating of v ent hood F or best results, turn vent hood fan on at beginning of cooking and allow it to run until all smoke and odors are removed from room. To t u r n f an ON: Slide glass shelf forward. P ress the fan “speed” button for the desired speed.
