2 INSTALLATIO N REQUIREMENTS Tools and Part s T ools Needed Gather the required tools and parts before startin g installation. Read and follow the instructions pr ovided with any too ls listed here. Parts Supplied For r eor der information, see “Rep lacement Parts” section.
3 Installation Dimensions NOTE: The grounded 3 pro ng outlet must be i nside the upper cabinet. See “Electrical Requir ements” section. * 30" (76.2 cm) is typical f or 66" (16 7.6 cm) installatio n height. Exact dimensions may vary depending on type of range/cooktop below .
4 INSTALLATION I NSTRUCTIONS Remove Mount ing Plat e NOTE: T o avoid possible damage to the work surface, cover the work surface. 1. Remove any remaining con tents from the microwave oven cavity . 2. Remove the mounting pl ate by peeling o ff the strips of tape that attach it to the back of the microwave oven, and set the moun tin g pl at e as ide.
5 5. Rotate blower motor en d over end. 6. Rotate blower motor so that exhaust ports face the back of microw ave ov en, and lowe r bl ow er m otor bac k in to the microw ave ov en . A. Exhau st port 7. Reattach blower motor to back of micr owave oven with 2 s crews rem ov ed in Ste p 3.
6 Locate Wall Stud(s ) NOTE: If no wall studs exist with in the cabinet opening, do not install the microwave oven. See illustratio ns in “Po ssible W all Stu d Configurations. ” 1. Using a stud finder , locate the edges of the wall stud (s) within the opening.
7 Mark Rear Wall The micro wave oven must be installed on a minimum of 1 wall stud, prefera bly 2, using a minimum of 1 lag scre w , pref erably 2. 1. Using measuring tape, find and clearly mark the vertical centerline of the openin g. A. Centerline 2.
8 Attach Mounting Plat e to Wall NOTE: Secure th e mounting plate to the w all at both bottom corner holes drilled i nto the wall studs and/or drywall using either 1/4-20 x 3" round-head bolts and toggle nuts or 1/4 x 2" lag screws. Refer to illu strations in “Possible Wall Stud Configuratio ns” in “Locate W all Stud(s)” section.
9 5. Cut the 1 ¹⁄₂ " (3.8 cm) diameter hole at the circular shaded area “G” on the template. Thi s hole is for the power supply cord. NOTE: If upper cabinet is metal, the supply cord bushing needs to be installed around the supp ly cord hole, as sho wn.
10 NOTE: If microwave oven does not need to be adjusted, skip steps 7-9. 7. If adjus tment is required, rotat e microw ave ov en downwa rd. Using 2 or more people, lift micr owav e oven of f of mount ing plate, and set aside o n a pr otected surface. 8.

12 Recommended V ent Length A 3 ¹⁄₄ " x 10 " (8.3 x 25.4 c m) rectangula r or 6 " (15.2 cm) round vent should be used. The total length of t he vent system includin g straigh t vent, elbow(s), transitions and wall or roof caps must not exceed the equivalent of 140 f t (42.

15 Spécificati ons électriqu es Observer les dispositions de tous les codes et règlements en vigueur . Nécessaire : ■ Une alimen tation élec trique de 1 20 volts, 60 Hz, CA seulement, 15 ou 20 ampères, protégée par fusibles ou disjon cteur .

18 Tracé sur le mur arrière Le four à micro-o ndes doit être fixé sur au moins un poteau du colombage mural, et de préfér ence sur 2 poteaux; on utilise pour cela au moins 1 vis d'ancrage, et de préfé rence 2 vis ou plus.
19 Pour une installat ion avec décharg e murale seuleme nt 6. Marquer un point sur l'axe central à 3/8" (1 cm) au-dessous de la rive inférieure du placard mu ral. 7. Utiliser u n mètre-ruban; marquer u n point à 6" (15,2 cm) de chaque côté de l'axe central.
20 4. Pousser les deux vis avec écrou articulé à travers le panneau de gypse; visser les vis à la main pour vérifier que chaque écrou articulé s'est déployé et prend appui contre le panneau de gypse.
