7 MICROWAVE OVEN CONTROL PANEL MICR O-DIAL™ Control The MICRO- DIAL control is used to se lect microwave oven functions, such as food quantities, cooking times, and cooking powers. T ur n the MICR O-DIAL control t o select a funct ion, se t cook time and power , set Clock and Mi nute Timer , set fan sp eed, or set cooktop and Ni te Lite.
8 Display The disp lay sc re en shows t he time of day a nd Ho me s cr een when the microwave oven is not in use. D uring programming, it displa ys func tion me nus, se r vings an d weigh t s, prepara tion instructions, and cooking time/power settings.
9 Ti m e r The Timer can b e set in minu tes an d seconds, up to 9 0 mi nutes, and counts down the set time. The Min ute Timer does not st art or stop the microwave ove n. When the Timer i s i n use, the microwave oven ca n still opera te. T o se e the time cou n tdown while th e microwave oven is is use , touch TIM ER SET/OFF .
10 Bookmark The Bookmark program allows the storage an d u se of up to 10 favorite function s with out havi ng to go t hro ugh the nor mal selecti on process. All funct ions can be pl aced in Bookmark except W el come, First Screen, Bookmark, Set Clock, Popcorn, Fan, Light, T urntable, Minut e Timer , Manual an d preparations screens.

12 Aluminum Foil and Metal Always use ov en mi tts or p ot h olders w hen removin g dish es from the microwave oven. Alumi n um foi l a nd som e metal ca n be us ed in the oven. If no t used properly , arcing (a blue flash of light) can occu r and cause damage to the oven .
13 MICROW A VE OVEN USE Cooking T o Use the Auto Cooking Functions: When using pr eset cooking powers and cook times for selected food types (Cereals, Eggs, Fish, Fr ozen Fast Food, Grains - Rice and Past a, Meat, Poultr y , and V egetabl e), follow the MICRO- DIAL™ menus to select amou nts and begi n the auto fu nction.
14 Defrosting Meats, p o ultry , or fish can be def rosted by enterin g its weig ht. If the we ight is not known , the defro st sett ing can be d etermi ned by entering the est imated amount of food to defrost. The microwave oven can also be manually set to de frost.
15 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make s ure all controls are of f and the ov en is cool. A lways follow label instruc tions on clea ning products. Soap, wat er and a soft cl oth or sponge are suggested first un less otherwis e noted.
16 Replacing Filters The grease filters sh ould be removed an d cleaned at least once a month. The charcoal fi lters cannot be w ashed and shou ld be replaced every six t o tw el ve months. Do not operate the microwave oven withou t the filte rs in place.
