7 Loading T op Rac k The top rack i s desi gned for cups, glasses , and smalle r it ems. Many item s, up to 9 in. (22 cm ), fit in th e top rack. (See recommended loading pat ter ns shown.) NOTE : The featu res on your dishwash er rack may vary from the drawings shown.

9 How much detergent to use ■ The amount of deter gent to use depends on the har dness of your wa ter an d the ty pe of de tergent. I f you us e too l ittle , dishes won’t be clean. If y ou use too much in soft wate r , glassware wi ll etch. ■ W ater har dness can change over a period of time.
10 Dishwash er Ef ficiency T ips Hot wat er di ssolv es and activ ate s the dis hwas hing detergent. Hot water als o dissolv es grease on dishes an d helps glasses dry spot-free. Is the w ater temperat ure too low? For best dishwas hing re sults, water shoul d be 12 0°F (49°C) as it ente rs the d ishwash er .

12 Contr ol Lock Use the Control Lock to prevent u nintended us e of the dishwash er . Y ou can als o use the con trol lock feature to prevent unintended cyc le or option changes d uring a cycle. When Cont rol Lock is lit , all but tons are disa bled.
