8 Starting T emperature Room temperature foods will heat faster than refrigerated food s, and refrigerate d foods will heat fast er than frozen foods. Composition and Density Foods high in fat and sugar will r each a higher temperatur e, and will heat fas ter than other foods.
9 Cooking Power Many recipes for micr owave cooking specify which cooki ng power to us e by per cen t, name or num ber . For examp le, 70%=7=Medium -High. Use the follow ing chart as a general guide for the suggested cooking power of specific foods. Cooking To U s e : 1.
10 Sensor Cooking A humidit y sensor in the oven cavity d etects mois ture and humidity emitted from food as it heats. The sensor adjusts cooking times to various types and amounts of food. Programs have been preset for ce rtain food types . Use the following chart as a guid e.
