4 Electrical Requirements IMPORT AN T : The cooktop must be elect rically grounded in accordance with local codes and ordinances, or in the absenc e of local codes , with the Nat ional Elec trical Code, AN SI/NFP A 70 or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.

7 3. Sel ect brac ket moun tin g hol es t h at will allow th e bracket to extend far enough out from the cooktop for the installation of 2½" (6.4 cm) clamp ing screws. 4. Attach brackets to cooktop base bottom with bracket attachment screws using the bracket mounti ng holes selec ted in Step 3 .
8 3. Remove surface b urner caps an d grates from parts package. Align notch es in burner c aps wi th pin s in burner base. B urner caps should b e level when properly posi tioned. If bur ner caps are not properly positi oned, surface burne rs will not li ght.
9 If the “low” flame needs to be adju sted: The flame can be adj usted usi ng the adjust ment screws unde rn eath t he cont rol knob . Adjustm ent for Sing le V alve: 1. Set the b urner flame t o LO. 2. Remove the control knob. 3. Hold kno b stem wit h a pair of pl iers.
