5 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Unpacking 1. Empty the micr owave oven of any packing materials. 2. Clean the inside with a soft, damp cloth. 3. Check for damage, such as: ■ a door that is not lined up correctly ■ damage around the door , or ■ dents on the interior or exte rior of the microwave oven.
6 PARTS AND FEATURES This manual may cover several differ ent models. The model you have purchased may have some or all of the features shown h ere. The appearance of your particular model may differ slightly fr om the illustrations in th is manual. Turntable The turntable can r otate in either direction to h elp cook food more evenly .
7 Start The ST ART pad begins any functi on. If non-sensor cooking is interrupted, touching ST ART will r esume the preset cycle. T ouching ST ART will not resume an interrupted sensor cycle. Add A Minute Cook time may be added to a manu al cook cycle by touching the ADD A MINUTE pad.
8 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the microwave oven pr oduces microwaves which reflect of f the metal floor , walls and ceiling and pass through the turntable and appr opriate cookwar e to the f ood.
9 T o T est Cookware or Dinnerwar e for Microwave Use: 1. Place cookware or dinnerware in microwave oven with 1 cup (250 mL) of water beside it. 2. Cook at 100% cooking power for 1 minute. Do not use cookwar e or dinnerwa re if it becomes hot and the water stays cool.
10 Cooking in Stages The microwave oven can be set to cook at differ ent cooking powers for various lengths of ti me, up to 2 stages. T o Cook in Stag es: 1. Place food on the turntable, and close the door . 2. T ouch COOK TIME. “ENTER COOKING TIME” will scro ll acr oss display .
11 T o Use Cust om Defr ost: 1. Place food, uncover ed, on the turntable and close the door . 2. T ouch CUSTOM DEFROST . The display will show the settin g for defrosting Meat. T ouch CUSTOM DEFROST a second time for the Poultry setting, and a third time for the Fish setting.
12 Sensor Popcorn The sensor in the microw ave oven de termines the appropr iate popping time of commer cially pa ckaged micr owavable popcorn. This function is program med to detect popping times for 3.5-oz (99 g), 3.0-oz (85 g) and 1.75-oz (50 g) bags.
13 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are of f and the microwave oven is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested unless otherwise noted.
