5 Electrical Requ irements Recommended Gr ounding Method This com pactor is for use on a single phas e, 115-volt, 60 Hz , AC only 15- or 20-amp fuse d and pr ope rly gr ounded circu i t and is equipped with a grounding plug as shown bel ow. It is recommended that a sepa rate c ircuit serving only this appli ance be provided.
6 2. Use pliers to lo wer leveling legs away fr om cabinet . Adjust legs so th e r e will be a ¹⁄₈ " (3 mm) to ¹ ₄ " (6.4 mm) space between th e top of the comp actor and the top of the cab inet opening. Stand the compactor u pright.
7 3. Attach a 15" x ¹⁄₂ " quarter -round filler along the top of the drawer fron t using glue or scr e ws. COMPACTOR USE How Y our Compactor W orks The compacting ram is the part of the compactor which compresses the trash. The compa cting ra m does not go to the bottom of the draw er .

Using Solid (Locked) Cycle The Solid (Locked) Cycle exte nds the use of the bag by putt ing constant pressure on the tr ash to keep it from springing back.
