4 Dimensions and Cabinet Requir ements NOTE S: ■ 1 ³⁄₈ " (3.5 cm) diameter opening is required in the sink or countertop. ■ Thickness of the s ink or countertop mu st not exceed 1 ³⁄₄ " (4.4 cm) . Electrical R equirements A 120- volt, 60 Hz, AC-only 1 5- or 20-a mp fused, gr ounded electrica l suppl y is required.
5 W ater Supply R equirements If local codes permit, th e hot water dis penser fauce t tube shoul d be connected t o ¹⁄₄ " (6.4 mm) tu be (not pr ovided), which is connec ted to t he c old wat er supp ly li ne us ing a saddle valve (not provided) or another mean s to connec t the ¹⁄₄ " (6.
6 Install the T ank 1. Posi tion the tank ve rtical ly beneath the faucet so that the longer ¹⁄₄ " (6.4 mm) tube from the faucet reaches the easy- connect fit ting on the t op of the tank. IMPORTANT: The ta nk must be posit ioned so that the tub e from the faucet does not kink.

Flush t he line into a bu cket or pan to remove any debri s that may have been tr appe d in t he suppl y line duri ng plu mbing connection .
8 NOTE S: ■ Y ou ma y hear gur gling noises coming fr om the tank while the water is heating. T his is normal. ■ A small amount of hot wa ter may flow from the faucet whi le the wate r is heatin g. This is normal for the firs t time hea ting of the dis penser .
9 HOT WATER DISPENS ER CARE NOTE : It is not n ecessa ry to tur n off the hot water disp enser each ni ght to conse rve energy . The h ot water disp enser uses approximately 10 to 19 kilow att-hours of en ergy per month when heating 7 to 8 cups of water per da y .
