IP Phone Keys 4 41-001524-00 REV00 – 04.2014 K ey Description The f ollowing table describes the key s on the 6867i: Key Descri ption Goodbye Ke y - Ends an ac tive call. The Good by e key also exits an open list, such as the Options List, without saving changes.

If your phone did not successfully connec t to the n etwork , the Network Disc onnected prompt appears on the display and the teleph one status light turns on.

The Home screen displays the current line, your name (SIP screen name), the date and time, and various important status messages.

Audio Mode The 6867i allows you to use a ha ndset, a headset, or handsfree mode to handle incoming and outgoing calls.

This key ac ts as a line that behaves the same as a hard line key (L1 and L2). For more information about the behavior of Line keys, see “Line and Call Appearances” on page 55 .

Configuring Softkeys 74 41-001524-00 REV00 – 04.2014 XML K ey The 6867i IP phone h as a feature you can enable called XML (Extensible M arkup Language). XML is a mar kup language much like HTML. Y our System Administrator can create customized XML menu ser vices and l oad them to your IP phone.

Configuring Softkeys 76 41-001524-00 REV00 – 04.2014 Fla s h Key Y ou can set a key to generate a flash event when it is pr essed on the 6867i. Y ou do this by setting the key to Flash . The IP phone genera tes flash even ts only when a call is conne cted and there is an active RTP strea m (for example , when the call is not on hold).

For exam- ple, if the sprecode value of *82 is configured, then by pre ssing the key , *82 automatically activates a ser vice provided b y the ser ver .

The T ransfer key allows a call to be transferred to other recipients blindly or consultatively .
