I n s t a l l a t i o n I n s t r u c t i o n s Assembly Instructions Description: CB Radio Kit Model: V ulcan 1700 V oyager Part Number: K10400-037 Approximate Assembly T ime: 60 min. Installation of this accessory should be performed by a qualied technician with the proper tools and equipment.
Installation Install CB Module z Mount the CB module using the two supplied 6 x 30mm bolts on the top and re-using the lower bolt. Tighten all three bolts rmly but do not over tighten as this may damage the plastic fairing lower . z Route the harness from the CB module behind the left engine guard and into the left side of the fairing.
z Route the other end of the antenna cable along the chassis and under the center of fuel tank. Follow the routing of the AM/ FM antenna cable to the rear and into the trunk. Continue to route the CB antenna cable along the left and rear of the trunk to the right rear corner .
z Install the antenna base from the outside of the trunk. Install Belleville (curved) washer and locknut onto the threaded brass post. Do not over-tighten as this may damage the plastic base. z Remove the right rear trunk bolt and install the provided metal grounding bracket at this point and to the lower mounting hole of the antenna base.
Please check/adjust all fasteners in regular intervals. © Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., August 2009 z After conrming proper operation of the CB radio, reinstall the fairing, left fairing lower , lower cover , front and rear seats, and tank. Check carefully to be sure that the wires are not caught or pinched.
