3 IMPORT ANT PRECAUTIONS – Read First! GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This product must be gr ounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding pr ovides a path of least resistance for electric curr ent to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment- grounding conductor and a grounding plug.
4 IMPORT ANT PRECAUTIONS – continued • Never use the pressure washer to draw in water contaminated with solvents, e.g. paint thinners, gasoline, oil, etc. NOTE: Dirt in the feed water will damage the unit. T o avoid this risk, we recommend fitting a water filter .
5 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Connect the high pressur e hose to the unit’ s high pressur e outlet. Step 2 Insert the variopower nozzle or the rotary nozzle into the trigger gun. Press in against the spring tension and twist into the locked position.
6 USING THE ACCESSORIES The variopower nozzle allows you to adjust the cleaning pressur e. T o clean at maximum pressur e, the variopower nozzle must be positioned to the high pressur e setting (+). T o apply detergent, the variopower nozzle must be positioned to the low pressure setting (-).
7 WORKING WITH DETERGENTS The high pressure setting is used for cleaning, you cannot apply detergents when working at high pressure. T o apply detergents you must be operating at low pr essure (–). Step 3 T ur n on the pressur e washer . Pull trigger to operate unit: Liquid detergent is drawn into the unit and mixed with water .
8 SHUTTING DOWN & CLEAN-UP T AKING A BREAK... five minutes or more Step 1 Remove deter gent suction tube and insert into 1 gallon (5 L) of fr esh water . Siphon water at low pr essure for one minute. Step 2 T urn the switch to off (0) position and unplug cord fr om outlet.

10 CLEANING TIPS – continued Cars, Boats & Motorcycles (with or without detergent) Pre-rinse vehicle with fr esh water . Fill the detergent container with Kär cher detergent. Place the filter end of detergent suction tube into the container and apply to surface at low pressur e.
11 TROUBLESHOOTING Disconnect the machine from the power source before making any repairs. Symptom Motor will not start. Unit does not reach high pressure. Output pressure varies high and low . Cause On/Off switch is in the “OFF” (O) position. Power cord is not plugged in.
12 TROUBLESHOOTING – continued Solution Dilute detergent. Run warm water through filter to remove debris. Remove obstruction or replace detergent suction tube. T urn nozzle tip to low pressure position. Blow out or remove debris with a fine needle. Tighten fittings.
