4 Introduction 1. Intr oduction Congratulations on purchasing a Kanguru SSD 100. The Kanguru SSD 100 is the next generation of storage technology . Designed for lightning fast read and write speeds, our SSDs provide exceptional performance for the dollar .
5 Installation Instructions 2. Installation Instructions Y our Kanguru SSD 100 can be easily installed in most desktop and notebook computers. This section provides you some basic instructions and safety guidelines for installing your SSD. Please note that the images in this chapter are just examples.
6 2.1 Notebook Installation Note: the images in this section are just examples. Y our actual computer may look different from the pictures shown here. For specific details about removing the cover from your computer , please refer to your computer ’ s user manual, or contact the computer ’ s manufacturer .
7 3. Locate the cover for the current hard drive. Using a screwdriver , remove the screws from the hard drive cover . Save the screws as you will need them later . 4. Remove the HDD cover to gain access to the current hard drive. 5. Remove the screws that hold the HDD to the HDD bay .
8 Install the new SSD 6. Unscrew the screws holding the HDD in the spacer bracket and then remove the HDD from the spacer bracket. 7. Insert the SSD into the spacer bracket and then secure the SSD in the spacer bracket using the same screws you removed in the previous step.
9 8. Insert the SSD into the notebook’ s hard drive bay , connect it and secure the SSD using the same screws that you removed in step 5. 9. Replace the HDD cover and screw it into place. 10. Insert the battery into the battery bay . Congratulations! Y our SSD has now been successfully installed.

11 Adding an SSD to your system 3. Slide the SSD and bracket assembly into an available hard drive bay and then secure it with screws. Replacing your existing HDD with an SSD 3-1. Disconnect any cables connected to the HDD. 3-2. Remove the screws securing the HDD to the hard drive bay .
12 4. Connect the computer ’ s SA T A data cable and power cable to the SSD’ s SA T A interface. 5. Replace the side panel. Congratulations! Y our SSD has now been successfully installed.
13 3. SSD Optimization Follow these tips in order to get the best performance out of your SSD. • The Kanguru SSD 100 is backwards compatible with SA T A I 1.5Gbps, but for the best performance make sure that you have the SSD connected through a SA T A II 3Gbps port on your motherboard.
14 5. W arranty This product carries a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. Any claims for loss or damage must be made to carrier directly . Claims for shipping errors should be reported to Kanguru Solutions within three (3) working days of receipt of merchandise.
