13 Set the camera in the follo wing procedure. Preparation Procedure Step 1 Connection/Installation Firstly , make a hole in the ceiling, f ollowed b y connecting the power cable , LAN cable or alarm signal cable to the terminal of the ceiling mount of this camera.
14 Preparation (Step 1 Connection/Installation) ● Attachment of a embedded cov er in the ceiling (recess brack et) may be mandatory in cer tain regions. If this is so , ensure that the embedded cover (recess br acket) is securely attached bef ore installing the camera.
15 1 2 3 4 Cap (Upper) 3. Lead the cable through the cover Make a slit on the (rubber) cap that is attached to the cover, followed by leading the cable through. See diagram on the left on how to make the slit. 4. Connect the cable to this camera Connect cables to the terminal on the ceiling mount.

19 5. Connection of Con veter Unit Notes Connecting multiple VN-C625 Cameras In a system where more than 1 VN-C625 is used, tur n on the power f or a VN-C625 first, f ollowed by setting the camera until "2-3 Setting IP Address f or this Camera Using the 'VN-C625U Setup T ool' " is completed.
20 1-2 Attachment of Ceiling Mount 1. Attach safety wire to prevent camera from falling down Connect the ceiling slab or channel to the ceiling mount using the wire to prevent the camera from falling down. Make use of the safety wire mounting hole to connect the ceiling mount and the wire.
21 2. Fasten the ceiling mount to the ceiling Align the “ ™ FRONT” mark on the ceiling mount in the direction that the camera is facing. Fasten the ceiling mount using the 4 screws while taking care not to catch the connection cables. Use M4-sized (No 8) screws or bolts.
22 1-3 Inserting the CF card 1. Check to ensure that the power of the camera is not turned on 2. Remove the CF (compact flash) cover 3. Insert CF card in the direction as indicated in the diagram • Press once if the eject button is protruding • Insert the CF card all the way until you hear a "click" sound 4.

Attach the safety wire to prevent the camera from falling down As shown in the diagram, pull out the safety wire from the ceiling mount and hang it to the safety wire fastening hook on the camera. Be sure to connect the safety wire to prevent the camera from falling down.

34 2-4 Other Settings Using the "VN-C625U Setup Tool" (2. Multicast) Settings (Step 2 Network Settings) Selecting Multicast mode allows VN-C625 to send the same image data to multiple PCs on the network at one time without lo wering the frame rate.

50 VN-C625 is equipped with a "FTP Client" feature that uploads still ima ges to the e xisting FTP server on a regular interval. This feature enables sim ultaneous image monitoring by man y clients (from man y locations). 1. Start up the "VN-C625U Setup Tool" and select [FTP Setting].

Setting of compression le vel is possible when this is set to "OFF", and images will be sent out at the specified compression le vel. The smaller the v alue, the lo wer the compression le vel and hence a higher image quality .
65 Sets the method of e xposure detection according to ratio be- tween the a ver age and peak values. • Large Avera ge value : Use this setting when areas other than those highlighted are dark and unclear .
