Be sure to read this instruction manual carefully before operating your new stereo system. In it you will f ind all the information you need to set up and use the system.

3 English CAUTION: Make all connections before plugging the System into an AC power outlet. Connecting the FM Antenna AM EXT AM LOOP FM (75 Ω ) COAXIAL ANTENNA T urn the loop until you have the best reception. CAUTION: T o avoid noise, keep antennas away fr om the System, the connecting cor d and the AC power cord.

9 English Receiving FM Stations with RDS Y ou can use the RDS (Radio Data System) by using the buttons on the Unit and the Remote Control. RDS allo ws FM stations to send additional signals with their regular program signals.
10 English Descriptions of the PTY Codes NEWS: Ne ws AFF AIRS: T opical program expanding on the current news or af fairs INFO: Programs on medical service, weather forecasts, etc.
11 English Case 2: If there is a station broadcasting the program type you have selected This Unit tunes to the station broadcasting the program. T he program type (T A, NEWS or INFO) indicator starts flashing. ≠ When the program is ov er, this Unit goes back to the currently selected station, but still remains in EON Standby mode.

13 English Basics of Using the CD Player — Nor mal Play Playing a CD –––––––––––––––––––––––––– 1 Insert a CD. 2 Press the CD # / 8 button. The first tr ack of the CD begins playing. • The track number that has already played disappears from the music calendar .
14 English Playing at Random The tracks will play in no particular order when you use this mode. Press the RANDOM button on the Remote Control. The RANDOM indicator lights up on the display , and tr ac ks will be played in random order .

17 English One track r ecording –––––––––––––––––– 1 Insert a blank or erasable tape into the Cassette Deck. 2 Play the track on the CD you wish to recor d. 3 Pr ess the REC button on the Unit. The CD player returns to the beginning of that track and the track is recorded on the tape.
18 English Using Exter nal Equipment Listening to External Equipment Y ou can listen to exter nal equipment such as an MD recorder , turntable or other auxiliary equipment. ■ First make sure that the e xternal equipment is properly connected to the System.
19 English Using the Timers Setting the Daily Timer Once you hav e set the Daily T imer, the timer will be acti vated at the same time e very day . It can be canceled and re-activ ate whene ver you wish. The T imer indicator on the display shows when the Daily Timer you hav e set will be activ a ted .
20 English 4 Select the music sour ce. 1. Press the TIMER button on the Unit. “TUNER” flashes on the display . 2. Press the ¢ or 4 b utton to select the music source you want to listen to. The display changes as sho wn below . 5 Set the volume level.
21 English Setting the Sleep Timer When a source is playing, use the Sleep T imer to turn the System of f after a certain number of minutes. By setting the Sleep T imer , you can fall asleep to music and kno w that your System will turn of f by itself rather than play all night.
