12 Intr oduction Set the video setting s witches on the camer a unit bef ore mounting it. T o set the switches, use a fine-tipped screwdriver . A [RESET /SPOT] RESET/ SPOT b utton When swit ch #8 is set to [RESET] position and this button is pressed, the value of the white balance or phase adjusted manually is reset t o the default v alue.
13 3. [SYNC] Synchr onization system selection swit ch. This swi tch sets the synchronizi ng system for the camera. INT: This is set f or internal synchronization LL (Line Lock): The camera’ s vertical synchronization is lo ck ed to the AC 24 V 60 Hz or 50 Hz power line frequency .

A [IRIS LEVEL] Iris level adjustment For adjusting the le v el of the automatic aper ture control lens. This adjustment only needs to be made when required.
15 G Function s electio n swi tche s 1. [ A GC] A uto-gai n cont ro l sw itch. Sett ing th is swit ch to A ON B automatically increases the sensitivity ev en w hen the brightness of the subject is insufficient. (Default setting: ON) 2. [SELECT] WHT .BAL.

17 The maximum connection distance varies with the type of cable used. Please refer carefully to the table f or each cable dur ing connection. * Be s ure to tur n off the power of de vices before connecting cables.
18 Installation and Connection Electrical Spe cifications o f Alarm Input Te r m i n a l s (TK-C215VP12U/E only) ● T o pre v ent penetration of noise i n the internal circuitry , apply a no n-v oltage contact signal to the ALARM input terminal. Ne ver apply a voltage .

20 Installation and Connection Remov e the dome c ov er, f ollowed by setting the video image s witches. 1. Removing the dom e cover Remov e the dome cov er by unf astening the 3 fast ening screws using the wr ench supplied. Memo: ● The dome cover and base are connected with fall pre vention wire.
21 Remov e the camera unit from t he base and mount the base to the ceiling or wall. When mounting to a wall, f ollow t he procedures by replacing areas indicated as [ceiling] by [wall] accordingly . 1. Removing the camera unit from the base A Unfasten the 2 fastening screws from the camera unit us ing a screwdriver .
22 Installation and Connection 1. Connecting t he coaxial cable ( A Pg. 17) Lower the protection cover and connect the connectors. Upon connecting, cov er the connectors using the pr otection cov er.
23 Fill the piping hole and m ounting hole with a sealing mater ial, mount the camera un it to the base, and inser t the s ilica gel. 1. Fill the hole with sealing material Fill the pipi ng hole as well as the 2 mounting holes mounted with screws using a sealing material.
24 Installation and Connection 4. Inserti ng the silica g el supplied T ake out the silica gel from the aluminum package, i nser t it into the silica gel insertion space of the camera unit and fasten using the lug plate.
25 Upon mounting the c amera, adjust the images while checking the actual image. Mounting th e test mo nitor Connect the [MONIT OR] terminal of this unit t o the test monitor to adjust the c amera’ s shoo ting direction, angle of vie w and f ocus. Memo: ● Before setting, ensure to t urn on the power of the system.
26 Installation and Connection Adjusting the ang le of vie w, f ocus and brightness Upon determining the imaging direction, adjust the angle of vie w , f ocus and brightness accordingly . Note: ● When adjusting t he f ocus, mak e sur e to co v er the dome cover o v er the lens .
27 Adjusting the brightn ess Usually , adjustment of the br ightness is not required. When t his is necessar y , adjust the iris lev el accordingly . T o darken : Anti-clockwise direction (L side) T o.

In general, set in a way such that the home position shoots a wide range and the alarm position a narrow range. ● U se the alarm input mode selection switch to set the act ions when there is an alar m input.
29 䢇 R egistering alarm position For registering the angle of view during monitoring when there is an alarm input. 1. Check that the [ALARM POSITION] indicat or ligh t is turned on. Registration of alarm position is enabled. ● Press the [POSITION SELECT ] button if the [ALAR M POS ITI ON ] indic ator ligh t is off.
30 Installation and Connection After setting is complete, mount the inner dome to the camera. 1. Mountin g the inner dome Mount the inner dome to the 3 clips. Note: ● Mount the inner dome suc h that it does not cov er the lens. ● When mounting the inner do me, make sure not to move the position of the lens.
31 Note: ● Make sure that the dome cover is firmly fastened. Otherwise, the humidity le v el may rise, which may result in fogging and e ven f alling of the cov er . ● Ensur e that t he f all pre vent ion wire of the dome cov er is not caught in t he space between the dome cov er and bas e.

34 Installation and Connection As a general characte ristic unique to CCDs, white-spots may appear on the screen with age. In order to red uce this phenomeno n, this unit is equipped with a white-spot correction feature. Switch on the camera power supply and w ait f or at least 30 minutes.
