11 English Selecting the Analog or Digital Input Mode When you hav e connected digital source components using both the analog connections (see page 6) and the digital connections (see page 7) methods, you need to select the input mode correctly .

LINEAR PCM : Lights when Linear PCM signals come in. DIGIT AL : • Lights when Dolby Digital signals come in.

Attenuating the Input Signal When the input le vel of the analog source is too high, sounds will be distorted. If this happens, you need to attenuate the input signal le vel to prevent the sound distor tion.
