2 Introduction Thank you for purcha sing a JVC product. Please read a ll instructions care fully before opera tion, to ensure yo ur complete unde rstanding and to obtain the best possible performa nce from the unit.
3 Getting Started Supplied Accessories After unpacking, chec k to be sure that you have all the following items. Th e number in parentheses indica tes the quantity of each piece supplied. • Remote control (1) • Lithium coin battery CR2025 (1) (The battery has been installe d when shipped from the factory.
4 Connections Connecting the Antenn as NOTES: • Make sure the FM antenna doe s not touch any other terminals, conne cting cords or the AC power cord. Also, keep the antenna away from me tallic parts of the unit, connect ing cords, and the AC power cord.
5 Connecting the Video Cord to View a Video/Pictur e from iPod When viewing a video/picture from your iPod on your TV, use a comp osite video cord (not supplied) to conne ct the VIDEO OUT jack on the uni t and the compo site video input on your TV.

12 Connecting iPod Devices Connect the iPod t o dock A or B on the unit. You can have 2 iPod devices connecte d at the same time. • Make sure the unit is on standby when you connect a n iPod. NOTES: • Be careful not to dama ge the termina l on the dock whe n connecting/di sconnecting the i Pod.

15 Listening to FM/AM Broadcasts Basic Operations Buttons Function s On the Unit On the remote Selects FM or AM as the source. When an FM programme is broadcast in stereo, ST (stere o) lights up on the display (only when the rece ption is good). Press: Changes the frequency.
16 Presetting Stations You can preset 30 FM st ations and 15 AM st ations. NOTES: • When you unplug the AC powe r cord or if a power fa ilure occurs, the preset sta tions will be erase d in a few days. • If you store a new station ont o an occupied pre set number, the sta tion previously stor ed on that number will be erased.
17 Playing Back from Other Equipment Connecting Other Equipment By using a stereo mini plug cord (not supplied), you can connec t other equipment with ana log audio output jacks, such as a portable audio playe r, etc. • Refer to the instruction manua l supplied with the equipment.
18 Setting the Clock and Timer Setting the Clock Set the built-in clock before using the Timer. • You can set the clock when the unit is turned on or on standby • To exit from the clock set ting, press CLOCK/TIMER as re quired. • To correct a misent ry during the process, press MENU/CANCEL.
19 Setting the Timer Using the Timer, y ou can wake u p with music, etc. • When using an iPod or other equipme nt as the playbac k source, connect it t o the unit beforehand. (P.12, P.17) • You can set the Tim er when the unit is turned on or on standby.
20 • To exit from the timer setti ng, press CLOCK/TIMER as required. • To correct a misent ry during the process, press MENU/CANCEL. You can re turn to the previous step. To cancel the Timer NOTE: The settings you have made are me morized though you cancel the Timer.
21 Troubleshooting If you are having a proble m with your unit, check t his list for a possible solution befor e calling for service. General Power does not come on.
