By adjusting these three functions, you can change the picture quality to suit your preferences.

After registering, the channel can be called by pressing the d (favourite) button and a number button 1 to 4.
20 Remote control b uttons and functions HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English Operating a JVC brand VCR or DVD player These buttons will operate a JVC brand VCR or DVD player. Pressi ng a button that looks the same as the device’s original remote control button has the same effe ct as the original remote control.

25 ENGLISH HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English PICTURE menu • While the PICTURE menu is displayed, pressing the blue button will set the CONTRAST, BRIGHT, SHARP, COLOUR, HUE settings to their default settings.
26 PICTURE menu HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English WARM: A reddish white. Using this mode when watching films allows you to enjoy colours that are char acteristic of films. FEATURES Choose FEATURES and press the a or 3 button to display the sub-menu.

When you set the Super DigiPure function to AUTO and notice some noise, change the setting from AUTO to MIN. • The MIN setting is not suitable for high- quality pictures which contain very little noise.

29 ENGLISH HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English SOUND menu • Functions in the “SOUND” menu other than “HEADPHONE VOLUME” work for the TV speakers. They do not work for the sound from the headphones. • When the headphones are connected and only one screen is displayed, only “HEADPHONE VOLUME” can be used.
30 HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English FEATURES menu SLEEP TIMER You can set the TV to automatically turn off after a set period of time. 1 Choose SLEEP TIMER. Then press the a or 3 button A Sub-menu of the SLEEP TIMER function appears. 2 Press the 5 buttons to set the period of time.

32 FEATURES menu HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English If you have forgotten the ID number: Perform step 1 of “To set the CHILD LOCK function”. After confirming the ID number, press the b button to exit the menu. • Even if you reset the lock temporarily, it does not mean that the CHILD LOCK function set for the TV channel is cancelled.
33 ENGLISH HV-32/28P40BU / LCT1684-001A-U / English SET UP menu AUTO PROGRAM You can again perform the AUTO PROGRAM function TV channel automatic registration which was performed in the “Initial setti ngs” (page 6). 1 Choose AUTO PROGRAM, then press the a or 3 button The COUNTRY menu appears as a sub- menu of the AUTO PROGRAM function.
