—1 2— Locating beginning of timer recordings — Instant Review After ensuring that the VCR is turned off and that the timer mode is disengaged, press REVIEW . ● T he VCR turns on, and rewinds to the index code indicating the beginning of the last timer -recorded program, then begins pla yback automatically .
—1 3— NOTE: If the tape reaches its end during recording, the recording stops and “ [ ” on the display panel blinks. Press ST OP/EJ ECT ( 0 ) on the VCR to eject the cassette, or press REW ( 3 ) on the Remote or turn the AD V ANCED JOG dial to the left on the VCR to rewind the tape.

—2 0— 䡵 PICTURE CONTROL — AUTO (NORM)/EDIT/S OF T/SHARP T his function helps you to adjust the pla yback picture quality according to your pr eference. AUTO (NORM) : Normally select this. Picture quality is adjusted automatically . When “VIDEO C ALIBRA TION” is “OFF”, “NORM” will appear instead of “ A UT O”.
—2 1— 䡵 A V COMPU-LINK — ON /OFF T he REMO TE P AU SE/A V COMPULIN K terminal on the rear panel can be used as either the REMOTE P AUSE terminal or the A V COMPULINK terminal. ● When this function is set to “ON”, you can use this terminal as the A V COMPULINK terminal.
—2 2— Multi-Brand Remote Control When programed (set) with a manuf acturer’ s (brand’ s) code, this Remote can perform some of the remote control functions of the listed TVs, cable boxes and DB S ( Direct Broadcast Satellite) receivers. Y ou can control a JVC TV without setting a brand code.
—2 3— C Change code for VCR Press any key on the Remote. T he VCR now responds to B code control signals. ● T o set the Remote and th e VCR to transmit and respond to A code control signals, repeat abo ve procedure as show n above except press the Number key “ 1 ” in step B of 1 1 1 1 .
—2 4— Editing with Another VCR Y ou can use your VCR as the pla yback or recording VCR. Refer also to the other components’ instruction manuals for connection and its operations. A Make connections Example 1: W hen another VCR is VHS VCR Connect two VCRs with the supplied audio/video cable.
—2 5— Audio Dubbing Audio Dubbing replaces a previously recorded normal audio track with a new soundtrack. A Make connections Connect an audio cable between the VCR’ s audio input connectors and the audio component’ s audio output connectors. ● When connecting a monaural audio component, use only the VCR’ s A UDIO L input connector .
—2 6— E Locate end point Load the cassette to be ed ited into the VCR and press PLA Y ( 4 ). Press PAU S E ( 9 ) w hen you find the end of the scene that y ou want to edit.
