2 PROVIDED ACCESSORIES Attach the core filters to the cables . The core filter reduces interf erence. 1) Release the stoppers on both ends of the core filter . 2) Run the cable through the core filter , lea ving approx. 3 cm of cab le between the cab le plug and the core filter .

7 GETTING STARTED 1) Hook the end of the battery pack to the camcorder and push the battery in until it locks in place. • If the battery pack is attached wrongly , a malfunction may occur . 2) Set the P ower Switch $ to “ OFF ” while pressing down the Loc k Button # .
8 GETTING STARTED ST ORE BA TTERY : Be sure to fully discharge a batter y pack b y performing the follo wing steps before storing it for a long period af time, otherwise the batter y performance will be reduced. 1) Attach the battery to the camcorder with no cassette inser ted.
9 RECORDING/PLAYBACK Thread the strap through the ey elet 5 , then fold it back and thread it through the buc kle. Repeat the procedure to attach the other end of the strap to the other ey elet 5 , making sure the strap is not twisted. Adjust the length.

DOOR (Wipe) : Wipes in as the tw o halves of a blac k screen open to the left and right, rev ealing the scene, or wipes out and the blac k screen reappears from left and right to cover the scene.

16 MENU SETTINGS ON: With an S-VHS cassette, “ S ” = appears and the camcorder records in S-VHS. With a VHS cassette, “ S-ET ” = appears and the camcorder records with S-VHS picture quality , which is called Super VHS ET (Expansion T echnology).
17 TROUBLESHOOTING Before consulting y our JVC dealer , please check the f ollowing to see if y ou can correct the problem yourself . V ertical white lines appear when shooting a very bright object. • This sometimes occurs when the contrast between the backg round and the object is great.
