7 GETTING STARTED 1) Hook the end of the battery pack to the camcorder and push the battery in until it locks in place. • If the battery pack is attached wrongly , a malfunction may occur . 2) Set the P ower Switch $ to “OFF” while pressing down the Loc k Button # .
8 GETTING STARTED ST ORE BA TTERY : Be sure to fully discharge a batter y pack b y performing the follo wing steps before storing it for a long period af time, otherwise the batter y performance will be reduced. 1) Attach the battery to the camcorder with no cassette inser ted.
9 RECORDING/PLAYBACK Thread the strap through the ey elet 5 , then fold it back and thread it through the buc kle. Repeat the procedure to attach the other end of the strap to the other ey elet 5 , making sure the strap is not twisted. Adjust the length.
10 BASIC FEATURES T o tur n on again, set the P ower Switch $ to “OFF”, then to “ ”, “ ” or “PLA Y”. • When the P ower Switch $ is set to “ ”, “ ” or “PLA Y”, and the LCD monitor is opened at an angle of 60 degrees or more, the LCD monitor switches on and the vie wfinder switches off automatically to sa ve po wer .
