ENGLISH 3 Preparation You can automatically set up to 99 TV stations to PR channels PR 1 to PR 99 on this TV. Press the Main power button. The Power lamp lights red (power on), then green (TV on). ■ When the TV is first turned on, it enters the initial setting mode, and the JVC logo is displayed.
4 Preparation If "ACI START/ACI SKIP" appears in the Auto Program menu: You can use the ACI (Automatic Channel Installatio n) function to decode the ACI data and complete the registratio n of all the TV channels in a short period of time.

14 Menu Operation Display MENU. The MENU (main menu) appears. Choose an item. Display the sub-menu. Choose a Sub-menu item. Change the setting. • Depending on the Sub-menu display, the fol - lowing buttons can be used. Complete the setting. The menu disappears.
ENGLISH 15 Picture Setting Display MENU. Choose PICTURE SETTING. Display the Picture Setting menu. You can choose one of three Tint modes to adjust the picture settings automatically. Press to choose TINT. Press to choose a mode. COOL: A cool white colour base with a b oost in the colour and contrast levels that creates a more vivid picture.
16 Picture Features Display MENU. Choose PICTURE FEATURES. Display the Picture Features menu. The Digital VNR function is a function to reduce the noise which is currently included in the picture. However, if the Dig - ital VNR effect is increased more than necessary, it has a det- rimental effect of reducing the sharpness of the picture.
ENGLISH 17 Picture Features The colour system is automatically chosen, but if the pic ture is not clear or no colour appears, choose the colour system manually. Press to choose COLOUR SYSTEM. Then Press . . Press to choose the appropriate colour system.
18 Sound Setting Display MENU. Choose SOUND SETTING. Display the Sound Setting menu. You can choose Multi Sound mode for stereo broa dcast pro- grammes and bilingual programmes. ENGLISH 19 Sound Setting It is possible to prevent the sound from being emitted from the TV speakers. This function shoul d only be used to emit the sound from an audio system co nnected to the television a s a substitute for the TV speakers.
20 EXT Setting Display MENU. Choose EXT SETTING. Display the EXT Se tting menu. You can choose S-VIDEO or normal input for EXT-2, EXT-3 and EXT-4 terminals, and you can give an EXT ID to each EXT input terminal. ■ To choose S-VIDEO input Press to choose an EXT terminal.
ENGLISH 21 Features Display MENU. Choose FEATURES. Display the Features menu. You can set the TV to automatically turn off after a specified period of time. Press to choose SLEEP TIMER. Then press . The Sleep Timer menu appears. Press to choose a period of time.

24 Install Edit/Manual You can change PR channel settings. • You can delete an unwanted station from a PR ch annel, • You can change the PR channel number of a station, • You can add station IDs to PR channels, • You can insert a new station to a PR channel, or • You can manually set the de sired station to a PR channel.
