29 1 Preparing and using for the first time pt es nl it fr ru en de Safety when handling the CLARIS Blue filter cartridge: U Filter cartridges should be kept out of the reach of children. U Store filter cartridges in a dry place in the sealed packaging.
30 1 Preparing and using for the first time First -time use with filter cartridge activation ! T T ouch the Filter symbol. The W ater T ank symbol M lights up. T Remove the w ater tank. T O pen the filter holder . T Inser t the filter car tridge into the wa ter tank, exerting slight pressure.

CAUTION If you adjust the consist ency of grind when the grinder is not operating, the grinder adjustment switch could be damaged.
32 2 Preparation 2 Prepar ation E While a speciality coffee is being prepared, you can stop prepar ation at any time. Simply touch the symbol for the product in question. E Before and during the grinding operation you can select the coffee strength for ristretto Y , espresso < and coffee > : ‘normal’ ( ; ), ‘strong’ ( _ ).

34 4 Permanent settings in programming mode The rinse stops automatically . Y our ENA is switched off . E When the ENA is switched off with the On/ Off button, the machine does not consume standby energy . E If no action is per formed on the machine for 2 hours, the ENA will automatically switch off to save energy .
